We haven't done a post in quite awhile because we went to Vietnam for a holiday, and we have been working behind the scenes to finally get this adventure started, more about that soon.
Our Vietnam trip was amazing, it was the first time either of us had been on a tour guided trip. This was actually an Aldi tour and all I can say is good things. If you would like to see more from our trip Ana is posting about it on her Instagram page. https://www.instagram.com/filipina_dishanddreamer/
An update on the Porsche, so the frontend work has been completed and the car drives great. We took it for a decent drive a few months ago to visit my mum in Toowoomba. Not only was this a long over due visit to see mum but it was a good test of the Porsche for our first camping trip. Since then however a minor incident occurred when we just got back from Vietnam. We had no food when we got back so had to do a shop and jumped in the Porsche and headed to our local Aldi. Having done our groceries we were packing them when I noticed a young couple and old old lady standing behind the Porsche in the car park. People having a look at the car is not unusual but I said to Ana these people are either looking at the car or someone has bumped it. As it turned out the very old lady (93) had hit the Porsche in the drives side rear bumper and guard and the young couple just were there to let me know they witnessed what happened and gave me their details (very nice of them). The damage is very minor and the lady has insurance so no drama and the Porsche is going in to have the rear end repaired and sprayed this coming week. So the car will be out of action for a few weeks while that is being done.
What we have been working on behind the scenes has been the harder part to getting our adventure off the ground. Because of Ana's and my work we have until recently only had Sundays and holiday leave to be able to do any kind of day trips or travel, but now that has changed. We have taken the plunge and gave up our managerial roles for the companies we work for, become casual workers and reduced our work days to allow us to have Friday, Saturday and Sundays to get this adventure off the ground. I have already reduced my days to get this going but Ana has to wait until June. This is financially terrifying as we have both taken big pay cuts to do this but we could see no other way and this is something we really want to do.
We are super excited that we are almost there and we look forward to having you join us on this once in a life time adventure.
